Lovely peaceful souroundings. Hosts were lovely and the cottages were awesome. Clean and very comfortable. Will definitely come back
My daughter and her partner were put in a cottage for elderly or for people who needed extra support, so the bathroom was not as nice as the other cottages too basic. Shower just had a curtain

This hotel offers fantastic value for money with its comfortable and well-equipped cottages. The location in the orange groves is truly delightful and provides a peaceful and beautiful setting. The friendly animals, such as the chickens and pigs, add a unique charm to the stay.
All was perfect.

Great location, nice little cottage away from the main backpackers house which was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was well set up.

Stayed in a secluded cottage in a lovely orchard with all necessary self-catering facilities provided. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly, providing delicious citrus fruits and chocolates on arrival. The super-friendly dog and the pigs in the orchard made for a unique and enjoyable experience.
There was nothing I didn't like.

I recently stayed at a lodge nestled in a picturesque orange orchard on the main highway north of Kerikeri. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the cozy rooms with sofas and fireplaces, to the lovely shared bathroom facilities. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location in the orange grove provided a serene and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.
All aspects of my stay were more than satisfactory.

the lodging was nestled within an orchard which gave a delightful peacefulness to all the places I stayed in NZ. the room I stayed in was basic, but it was clean and organized. the shared bathroom was gleaming and tidy, which showed that the housekeeping staff was dedicated to cleanliness. the orange trees in view of the cottage were lovely and fragrant, and the little dogs made the place feel welcoming.
The lodge lacked some amenities and had a lackluster atmosphere.

A Hidden Gem
We stumbled upon this charming lodge during our road trip and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The lodge had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to a refreshing swimming pool. We loved the evenings spent by the cozy log fire, sharing stories and making new friends. The animals on the property were a delightful bonus, especially the adorable Kune Kune pigs and the chickens with their quirky hairstyles. The location was perfect for exploring the Far North, with stunning nearby attractions like Matauri Bay and Rainbow Falls. And let's not forget the abundance of delicious fresh oranges that were always available. Our stay at Relax A Lodge was simply magical. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a little slice of paradise.

The hotel was surrounded by a beautiful orange orchard, and the fruit was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home during my business trip. the hotel was conveniently located near all the key attractions in the area, which was a huge plus.
The shared bathrooms were a bit of a hassle. There were only two for a relatively large number of guests, which meant it could be difficult to get a shower in a timely manner.

The location in the orange orchard added a lovely touch to the overall atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure I had a comfortable stay.
No improvements needed, everything was perfect.

Great location, comfortable bed, and fantastic views of the surrounding area.
Our Thanksgiving meal was underwhelming, and the hot water in the shower was unreliable. Staff seemed uninterested in our concerns and were sometimes unresponsive to our requests.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
